• Global Direct Dial-Up Connectivity - Modems
  Your Hayes (or compatible) modem can be connected to serial port 1 to 16 (COM 1 to COM 16), and it must have dial tone access to the public telephone network. The modem should support 1200 and 2400 baud communications.
  

• Global VPN Connectivity - Internet
  The Global Payments Virtual Private Network (VPN) requires the Cisco Systems VPN Client software installed on the connecting PC. The Cisco VPN Client uses your PC's internet connection to establish secure, end-to-end, encrypted tunnels to the Global Private Network for transaction processing. Global Payments can ONLY support the Cisco VPN Client, version 3.6.3(B) or higher, running on Windows 2000, XP, 2003, or higher.
  Additional System Requirements for the Cisco VPN Client:
  
  • Microsoft Windows 2000 or higher.
  • Microsoft TCP/IP Installed.
  • Removal of any other NON Cisco VPN Client software.
  • RAM: Win2000 - 64 Mb: WinXP and Up - 128 Mb.
  • Hard Disk Drive: 10 Mb for VPN Client files.
    
    
• Card Readers
  Supported card readers can be connected to serial ports 1 – 16 to read track 1 information. (Card member, account number, expiration, and discretionary data.)
  The supported Card Readers are:
  
  • Magtek Model MT-211 Part# 21040071(white) or 21040079(black)
    
  • American Magnetics Models 31a-b.
    
  • American Magnetics Model 41 TD. (Production of this reader has been discontinued, however this reader will remain supported.)
    
    
• Check (MICR) Readers
  One (1) Magnetic Ink Character Reader is supported to read Check-MICR information. (Check routing & transit number, the account number, and check number.) The reader operates with only the Global Micr and Global Dual ID Check Services and must be configured for such. The Check reader can be connected to Serial or USB Ports 1 – 16.
  The supported Check Reader is:
  • Ingeninco eNCheck 2500
  • The USB to Serial Adapter cable can be obtained from ID Tech Inc. Part # AC00615
    
  • USB to Serial Adapters require installation of ID Tech USB driver. (Provided on Installation CD.)

  Windows compatible – Some Post-Script only printers may not be supported.
